An Email with the Subject "Be the next of kin" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Fri, 30 Jan 2009 21:52:45 -0500 and has been classified as a Advance Fee Fraud/419 Scam Email. The sender shows as "Mr Chen Phang" <chen@opera.com>.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.
My name is Mr. Cho Koon, I trained and work as an external auditor for the Development Bank of Singapore (DBS). I had taken pains to find your contact through personal endeavors. A foreigner with thesame last name as yours, died here in Singapore, twelve years ago leaving behind an estate/capital (US$12.8M with interest) here in DBS where I work, till date nobody has come forward or put application for the claim. I can confirm with certainty that the said investor died intestate 1994, no next-of-kin to his estate and no body came forward all these years.
