RE: BUSINESS PROPOSAL ON INSURANCE CLAIM


I am Mr. Peter W. Eric. Director Legal Department in charge of claims and indemnity of NATIONAL 
INSURANCE CORPORATION (ICON),I joined the service of the above firm in 1975.The company has a 
strong capital asset base of over Two Hundred Million United States Dollars and as a major Force 
Insurance Industry.General Insurance,Marine and Life Assurance are but some of the services 
rendered by the company.


My capacity over the years as head of claims and indemnity Department, I have been in most cases 
coming across several on claims life Assurance benefits of both Foreigners and citizens.These 
claims amount to several Millions in International Currency domination.
The Insurance Law on unclaimed benefits stipulates under section 7sub- section 10 caps 15 Laws of 
the Federation, that, once such unclaimed benefits have over stayed a maximum moratorium period of 
Ten years, It should be returned and forfeited to the Government treasury.It is disheartening to 
lean that instead of such funds to be property utilized by Government, some corrupt officials 
working in the ministry of social welfare often end up pocketing against humanitarian purposes they 
are supposed to serve.


A pathetic case that prompted my desire to contact you is that of Mr. M. Richards, a nationality of 
your country. This man was our client and has a life assurance policy worthy US$15.5M (Fifteen 
Million Five Hundred Thousand United state Dollars) and Mr. Mike Richards, died about nine years 
ago in a Helicopter crash while on an offshore crude oil exploration and has long been buried.

All efforts made by us to establish contacts with any of his relation have proved unsuccessful. His 
assurance policy will expire in the next four months from date of this particular letter. Just last 
Week, we received an instruction from the ministry of social welfare to forward particulars of all 
unclaimed benefits that will expire in the next six months. It is not my intention to allow some 
corrupt Government Official to line their will! Expired pocket this time around. In view of the 
above situation, coupled with my past experience with Government officials, I decided to contact 
you immediately for your assistance.


The assistance I require from you is quite simple, to open account with the corresponding 
commercial bank in your country where this funds could be transferred to, and you forward to us as 
a copy of iIdentity card,company name,address,telephone and fax number.Once you do this, I would 
use my office to ensure a hitch-free success in transferring the funds the account, which would 
take about (10) Ten working days.

Please note that, I am moved to do this because I am about to retire from active service and this 
is the only opportunity to "make hay while the sun shine". Time is of the essence in this matter 
and I do hope that you will appreciate this circumstances. As per the mode of sharing, my 
colleagues and I who will help me in effecting the transfer have agreed to concede 30% of the total 
Sum as above mentioned to you. 10% will be set aside for expenses normally, while the remaining of 
60% will be for all of us. On getting your reply, we would work out modalities on how to start the 
execution of transaction that will bound all the parties together understanding For any additional
