An Email with the Subject "Security Update: Your Bank Account Security Updating" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Tue, 06 May 2008 01:37:17 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as "security@boq.com.au" <security@boq.com.au>.

The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.

It has come to our attention that your account need to be updated due to the recent changes we have made to our Internet Banking system. This update will allow us to activate new features for your account on our new system. We have made these changes to provide a better and more secure services.

To initiate the update confirmation process please follow the link below and fill in necessary requirements:

- Your account is not suspended, but if in 24 hours after you receive this message your account is not confirmed we will terminate your Bank of Queensland subscription.
- If you received this notice and you are not an authorized Bank of Queensland account holder, please be aware that it is in violation of Bank of Queensland policy to represent as an Bank of Queensland user. Such action may also be in violation of local, national and/or international law.
- Bank of Queensland is committed to assist law enforcement with any enquiries related to attempts to misappropriate personal information with the invent to commit fraud or theft.
- Information will be provided with the request of law enforcement agencies to ensure that perpetrators are prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
